Back in February when I kicked off this blog, I was really struggling. Writing down my Thoughts became a way to reach others who might have shared experiences and could relate to what I was going through. Each post made me open up more. I shared about a tough time at work, my health issues, a heartbreak, and dreams that haven't come to pass, yet. I also expressed my gratitude for the people I care about, shared advice from close friends, how I’ve grown to love Selena, the life lessons I’ve picked up since my teen years, and featured a few small businesses.
Kenny Rogers taught us a valuable lesson with his song, "The Gambler". We have to know when to walk away and when to run; and this is my time to realize that the dealing's done.
I have enjoyed writing blogs and short stories. I feel a sense of pride when readers share their thoughts about my short stories and how the cliffhangers left them with their mouths dropped or when a reader says "I just read your blog and it is exactly what I needed." I appreciate every reader who liked, commented, and shared my social media posts. I am forever grateful for the Beyond the Blog members who took a chance on my exclusive content.

But data doesn't lie. And the current data suggests that Train of Thought is no longer making its intended impact. It suggests that I have fulfilled the purpose for this blog (for now). So I'm gonna fold them and walk away and count my blessings.
The site and app will continue to be active if you would like to catch up on any blog or short story that you missed. I have even created a new way to engage with short stories.

Enjoy any of the four stories listed below at a new, REDUCED, individual story rate.
The Private Professional-Find out who's been leaving Principal Denise secret love notes.
Almost-A short story about timing and the people we don’t forget.
Confidential Curriculum-The question remained: where was Alexandra?
Lipstick and Letdowns-Join Maverick on her thrilling adventure as an influencer striving to become a top-tier fashion blogger at NYC Fashion Week!
I am thrilled about whatever is next for me. I am focused on being my best self, honoring God through my work, and releasing strongholds. Looking back, I am grateful for every closed door and silent season that led me to create this blog.
One last blog for old time's sake, enjoy "Great Expectations"- https://www.debriccadelores.com/post/great-expectations
Just like the Gambler could read people's faces, I can see that I'm out of aces.
Pausing while I'm ahead...
