I used to be a short fingernail girlie. Like down to the skin, with a gel manicure in a solid color.
I was a nail biter growing up and even as an adult if I'm being honest. As an adult it has served as a coping mechanism. If I feel too anxious, I would rip up a manicure no matter how fresh it was because it soothed me. I would also pick my cuticles, so bad at times that my fingers would bleed and be sensitive to the touch. My nail tech would always fuss at me but she also knew why my hands would be torn up the next two weeks.

Then I started a new job, and learned that a coworker was also a small business owner. She convinced me to let her do my nails for my birthday. She specializes in long, exotic, styles so I was worried. I told her that I prefer short nails. She told me to trust her. So I found an inspo picture and trusted her.
She worked her magic with acrylic and molded me a fingernail shape that was short and cute. Her work is impressive.

I've gone back several times since that appointment. My nails have grown out and aside from a few moments, I haven't picked or botched up a manicure [too badly].
She built the cutest 'She Shed' in her own backyard and the inside is a full service nail salon, with after hours appointments.
Head on over to Facebook and like Angela's business page: A Forbes Nails Studio LLC. You can also book an appointment directly from her page.

Even if you have a nail tech you love, you can still help me to promote her business. It's more than an appointment, it's an elevated experience and if you're in the Baton Rouge area, I recommend making at least one appointment and let me know what you think!

I'm loving my new elevated manicures. What do you think? Shorty and sassy or keep the length like a big girl. Women with short nails always get teased "that's why you have no boyfriend....your nails too short." Maybe now, someone will want to hold my hand!
And I just LOVE how she made my vision for my reunion trip design come to life..

Fun fact: these photos remind me of my grandmother's hands. :)
When you book your appointment, tell her that her favorite client sent you! ;)

Yes!!! And they last a long time.
I love them 💗 I just might give it a try when I come visit
